Make a Difference Day 2026

Get ready to lend a hand and show our city some love! We are excited to invite you to participate in Sausalito’s first annual Make a Difference Day on Saturday, September 12, 2026. It’s a citywide day of volunteer service bringing neighbors and local organizations together for hands-on improvement projects across town.
Sausalito Beautiful will be leading three key gardening projects that morning:
Ferry Plaza – Gardening & landscape care
Robin Sweeny Park and City Hall Surroundings – Gardening & beautification
Viña Del Mar Park – Gardening & park maintenance
If you’d like to join us at one of our three sites—or if you’d prefer to lend your skills to another fantastic project in town like painting bollards, staircases, or book drives—we encourage you to check out the full lineup!
Event Schedule Highlights:
8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Morning check-in, coffee, & pastries hosted by the Sausalito Cruising Club at Dunphy Park
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Work on your chosen volunteer project
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Community lunch hosted by the Lions Club & live music at Dunphy Park

Can’t join us in person on September 12? You can still help us dig in! Your donation will directly support the purchase of tools and supplies for Make a Difference Day and future Green Thumbs gardening days.
