This city undertaking was one of the community’s most long-awaited projects and is now the recipient of Sausalito Beautiful’s 2022 and 2021 City Project Awards. Sausalito residents witnessed the transformation of the old Dunphy Park into a multi-purpose park that offers folks the option to picnic at the specially designed tables, compete at the newly renovated bocce ball court, or utilize the brand-new volleyball area. One of the elements that makes Dunphy Park so special is the illustrious gardens designed and planted by the city’s very own Oscar Lucario. During the early weekday mornings, you can find Oscar tending to the park’s robust gardens enriched with succulents, native plants, and drought resistant trees. Take a leisurely stroll, jog, or bike ride on the park’s surrounding pathways, and you may notice the sprouting of daffodils, brodiaea, and cammassias that Sausalito Beautiful volunteers planted last December. Dunphy Park is for all to enjoy!
