Sausalito Beautiful’s Adopt-a-Park program mobilizes local neighborhood leaders and our Green Thumbs volunteers to improve our parks making them more resilient and beautiful. Working with the City Parks team, volunteers regularly meet to weed, mulch and plant with a focus on California natives and drought tolerant plants.
Please consider making a donation to Sausalito Beautiful to help fund this program and more.
This program is in partnership with the City of Sausalito. While the City maintains our largest, more visible parks, they don’t always have the staff or resources for capital improvements in some of our neighborhood parks beyond basic maintenance.
By donating to this program, your funds will help us buy trees, plants, daffodil bulbs, mulch, tools, and support other needed items to ensure that our parks are beautiful and resilient.
What began as a visionary idea is now blossoming into reality thanks to the collective efforts of Sausalito Beautiful and its supporters. Join us in our mission to engage residents and businesses alike in the enhancement of Sausalito’s public parks, leveraging their vision, time, and resources for the betterment of our community.
Our current Adopt-a-Park Program includes:
- Langendorf Park
- Poet’s Corner
- MLK Park
- Second Street Steps Garden
- Southview Park
- Tiffany Park (We are looking for one more person to be a co-leader for this park)
